There are a total of 30 boat parking stalls at the Cottages, located on the north side of the tennis courts behind the green yard waste bin. The stalls are for boat parking only.
As per s.36.4 of the Bylaws, all the available recreational parking stalls will be allocated to those owners who request them.
Interested owners MUST complete the lottery form and submit it, along with a photograph of their Boat AND Trailer along with proof of valid insurance for the boat and trailer to the strata manager’s office via email, mail or in person by no later than 12 pm on Monday April 21st, 2025.
If, at the end of the application period, there are less than 30 entries received, everyone who entered will be granted a boat parking spot.
If, however, there are more than 30 entries received, only 30 entries from the total received will be randomly drawn by lottery on the 1st May 2025 Those drawn will be this year’s owners who are allotted boat parking spaces and will be notified by 8th May 2025.
Only one entry per strata lot is permitted.
If less than 30 entries are received, the remaining boat parking stalls will be available on a first-come first-served basis, with the qualification that owners may only use the space for a 7-day period before giving up the spot for at least 3 days afterward.
If you secure a spot in the boat parking lottery, The Strata Manager will contact you by 8th May 2024 to provide you with stall details. Please note that securing a spot in the boat lottery this year means that you will have the privilege of using a boat stall starting Saturday May 18th, 2025 andlasting until next year’s boat lottery. securing a spot in this year’s lottery does not guarantee space availability in subsequent years.
If you currently hold a boat parking stall (for the 2024-25 season) and are not allocated a stall for this year (2025-26 season), you will be responsible for removing your boat from your parking stall by no later than Friday May 23rd 2025. Failure to remove your boat may result in the boat being removed without notice and you will be charged the removal fee.
All owners in good standing, with current strata fees and without fine payments due are eligible to submit a lottery application for boat parking. **If an owner wins the lottery for a parking stall and subsequently receives a fine on his/her account or falls behind on strata payments, that owner will have two weeks (from the date of the fine or the strata fee due date) to pay the fine and/or fees, at which point in time, if this is not done, his/her boat parking stall can be revoked.
The average boat parking stall area is 10' x 25', which will accommodate most lake size boats. The stalls are not intended for larger vessels, RVs or utility trailers, which are not eligible for boat parking. Likewise, the stalls are not intended for storing kayaks or canoes.
Stall space is limited so all items associated with the craft must be stored on the craft and not along the fence line
The Strata Corporation is not responsible for the safety and security of boats parked in the boat parking areas. Parking in the boat parking is completely at the owner’s risk.
Ineligible vehicles/trailers and boats that are parked outside of any stall are subject to being towed at the boat owner’s expense.
